Drilling for the First Time

Here I used the "posterize" effect and a few other features from the Picmonkey site.
This was My First Time Ever using an electric drill and I loved it!
Black and Decker where have you been all of my life until now?!

The effect is very cool! I also enjoy using a drill. But, it really needs to be cordless!

Happy WW!

I have never used a drill and now I have to check out posterize. Learning all kinds of new things but I have a feeling I might be dangerous with a drill LOL

OK ... I hate to admit my age, but I am confused ... is posterize a new art form using a drill, or is it a new app for altering photos?

I have been using drills ever since I can remember, one year my hubby even gave me a cordless drill for X'mas. Course then he took it over ... next year I gave him an amethyst necklace, and of course I took that over!

To be honest, every household needs a minimum of at least one drill. Drills are capable of multiple tasks and a blessing when hanging pictures in old lathe and plaster walls.

Happy to hear you finally found the magical world of drills!

Dave, thanks and you're welcome!

Laurie, my expectation too and then I tried it! Ha, I did have to give my arm a rest every few holes, though.

Annmarie, welcome and thanks! These power tools will be useful, where's your daughter's art? Blog?
I followed back, can't leave you a comment on that form though, sorry.

Brandi, thanks and yes, try out picmonkey it replaced picnik.

Stacey, I must be late to using drills, but better late than never, ha- oh the battery one was broken so I used this one.

Carol, I think a dremel would be something to look into, definitely. I can't leave a comment on your blog, sorry, it's the long form.

Lucy, they should have had a video, there were lots of sound effects and my items were spinning, it was funny, but not dangerous. Just go slow and protect your counters, fingers, eyes, etc.

Karen Anne, funny he didn't look good in purple? lol just kidding.
I set everything up about 8pm, and was going to start the next morning. Then, I knew I'd build up fear if I didn't tackle it then and there, so glad I did. It was a few days of drilling as I had to rest my arm, but no help, I did it all, so that was my little accomplishment!

I can see all kinds of projects that I can now do since I now know how to use the drill, I might not make them, but I could if I wanted to, that's important to me now. Thanks!

* In case I explained "Posterize" the wrong way, it's a photo effect on Picmonkey.

Love that effect, it looks really cool.
Personally I am not into power tools, but a drill is one I think I would like.
Would love for you to stop by Tots and Me and share

Dearest Gloria,

What a thrill to drill for the firs time! But what did you enjoy most, drilling or working with Picmonkey to change your photo?
Thanks for visiting my 'Unique Accordion LOVE Story'! Fun to read that you as a child did some playing yourself. Fond memories, for sure.
Have a great weekend coming your way.
Love,

Mariette

Thanks, Debbie. Just play around with the site, what little I do, makes me pleasantly surprised.

Mariette, in this case drilling was more enjoyable as it was the first time and now the possibilities...

I haven't thought about those accordion moments for quite a while and it was nice to remember the words to some of those songs. Hope your husband plays many more tangos for you!
