Excuse Me, Your Bagua is Slipping

A little Feng and a bit of Shui and before you know it there will be a new and improved order about the house. Clutter and chaos don't serve me well.  So, after looking at the corner of the kitchen for, I don't know how many months and seeing the collection of paint cans not doing anything but sit there, it was time for a little change.

The paint was being used, but then it got way too hot to paint, or injuries took their time to heal, people decided not to paint (not saying who that was, ahem) and so on...  It's still too hot to paint, as the windows are closed most days, so the cans have to go back to their shelves in the basement, at least for now.

I bumped into some Feng Shui info and decided to see if it would help this corner of the house.  Wouldn't you know it, this mess of cans is smack in the Wealth area.  Can you see why my lottery tickets never win, just saying, loser Powerball.

I went to a thrift store and saw this purple vase and got the silk flowers on clearance in another store.  Hey, it's already working!!!

So I am doubling down on the purple for the Wealth corner.  Hope that doesn't go against the flow.  The feng needs to shui just right.  If you want to improve your Wealth concerns, the advice is to put 4 purple flowers in the area.  So, let's see if it helps.

The only problem is that the vase isn't exactly in the Wealth Bagua, it's actually in the Ancestors and Family Bagua, so I have to shimmy it down closer to the place where it will do the most good.  Looks like another little shopping trip is coming up.  Maybe a pretty stool to put the vase on.

Feng Shui is really about harmony and calm, not luck or superstition.  Let's hope it works soon, as all these little shopping trips won't add to my piggy bank even though they were bargains.  Fingers crossed.

Have you ever used Feng Shui in your home or workplace?  Did you get the results you were anticipating?

I'm pretty sure I'm not bright enough for feng shui but I do like your purple flowers and vase. :)

Ok so liking the purple .... beautiful shade. As for decorating ... I could use some of that Shui with my Feng at the moment! After 2 trips up to the mountains the house is a disaster and in need of some Shui. Hmmmm, think they'll let me have a few extra vacation days? I could take "Shui leave?"

Thanks for this post....it reminded me that I have a book on Feng Shui ... for beginners I hope. It's all energy work don't you think. It's nice to see we're not the only ones with a mess once in a while .. ok, ok, most of the time.

Happiness Always

I've always heard feng shui is the way to go for a happy home, but I don't know if I'm that organized. Probably not, although I'd love to be in a place where I could try it out :)

Thanks for linking up with my NO RULES Weekend Blog Party!!

Terry, you are funny and so bright.

Cynthia, yes, start a nationwide movement for a vacation after the vacation, love that idea!

ArtSings, don't we all have messes, even little ones- those to me, are the toughest to get lassoed and controlled.

Paula, I'd like to make some empty space and calm areas- but I'd have to move! :-)

Hey Gloria I've had a happy plant in the place where happy plants are supposed to go to meet Feng Shui criteria and not much has happened to me but the plant is doing okay.

Hey Gloria, the purple flowers and vase is very pretty! I say, if something makes you happy and works for you, go for it! It's like me and my stones and crystals. I have them in certain places of the home. I don't know why, they just feel right that way. I know my sister-in-law was big on Feng Shui, but I don't know if she is anymore? But, I do know in her house, there is certain things in certain places, so maybe she still is big on it. Take Care my friend ;o) Much success to you!

Hi Chris, I'd like to see your "happy" plant, mine have been dying right and left.

If you see this, please change your comment from "no reply blogger" I can't leave you a comment because of the bug and can't find your email.♥

Hi Stacy, thanks and you know, the stones and crystals seem to have a relaxing and positive vibe about them. Some of them are very pretty, too.

I could change a lot, but looking for the lotto win and the purple flowers are supposed to help. haha You won't know unless you try, so we shall see.

Hi Lucy, thanks there's more I could do, but decluttering has to be the big job to tackle first. Maybe the luck will improve ♥
