Must Finish What I Started, Jewelry Supplies

Last month I got some supplies when I went looking for a soft cord to finish this no clasp necklace.

Down in the lower right corner there is some ombre cord in two color combos.  I wanted a blue tone, but this was what I found.  I think it will work and I may knot a few of those beads in the middle of the image, if not, I have other beads stored away.

I have a little affection for umbrellas, so when I saw brass Vintaj umbrellas and toadstools, I had to buy them.

The owl earrings are going to become charms or rings, haven't decided on those yet.

The coral, blue, and brass beads were so pretty I couldn't leave them on the rack.    Sparkling round buckles, little birds, and assorted chains jumped into my basket and came home with the others.

We're all such good friends, my supplies, they have ideas of their own and since most have been packed up for moving (since last summer) I decided to look for some new to me items.

chain and ribbon necklaceI will get the necklace finished this week or next at the latest.  I used to always push myself to finish what I started, but with things changing at home and so many things to deal with, I have let things slide.

Sitting on my desk is a present for a blogger, I have not been able to decide how to fix and complete it and this has gone on for more than a year.  The other parts of the gift are ready to go, so maybe I should bite the bullet and send it on.

Tomorrow I am packing up presents for two little ones a 4 year old and 2 year old siblings.  They don't have a birthday, I just feel like sending them something- teddy bears, activity books, crayons, pencils, etc.  Lastly, a birthday card was finally purchased and will be on its way, too.

I'm starting to sound like a broken record, but a decision on moving is still in flux, most of my belongings are packed or donated, and sooner or later I have to either stay or go.  I'll let you know which it is.

I know what I want to do, it's the next step that's the hardest.  Do you close your eyes and jump or stretch out the decision making?

P.S. The necklace is finished and shown here and was included at Jewelry Making Journal.

Jump Gloria, jump ;o)
I have to admit, I am the one, that usually stretches things out and worries about things, but I am changing! If your heart is telling you to do something, then go for it ;o)
You made me laugh about your supplies! I am like that with my paints! That's why I haven't been at Michaels in about 4 months!
That is really sweet of you, with the gifts for the children and for your blogger friend ;o) I know everything will be cherished ;o)
Big Hugs ;o)

Those umbrellas will come in handy when I make the jump, LOL, thanks for that Stacy!

I crossed two projects off the list on Friday, will try to do another one on Saturday. I'm not going to stop until I get them completed.

4 months! I'm working on two for one of the craft stores. I have to delete the coupons when they come into the email box, or I will be tempted to use them, it's tough resisting saving money I shouldn't spend, hahaha.

Yes, listen to the heart and be happy- I'm working on that too, much better than I thought. Still a long way to go, but will get there sooner than I hope- I hope. <3 You will have your happiness, guaranteed.

Supplies overload? You can't possibly have the happy "problem" that I do. Not only does all sorts of stuff jump into my shopping cart, but I have a hard time using it because I like it so much! Now isn't that silly!

At least 4 (2 smaller, 2 large) craft stores have gone out of business in my area in the last 20 years, and I have bought out large parts of their inventories.

If that wasn't enough....besides my late mother giving me much of her craft supplies when she became ill, 4 other people have given me their loved ones art closets--all good stuff I might add.

And then, there are the tag sales, garage sales, flea markets where I find all sorts of bargains.

Add to that all the beads I have bought over the years to make flowers, and well, I think I win, LOL!

Hi Gloria, I think we all have supply overload. Sometimes I can't make up my mind about colors...My problem is that when I am in doubt I buy too much and I also have a problem when I go the clearance area. Just too many things to buy. I have quite a number of things to finish.
Thank you so much for your comment on my Mad Hatter Party.

Debbie, I know what you mean, I have things from many years ago and I can't use them, they are too sentimental or unique, so I just treasure them and the memories. I couldn't make things with them unless I was completely sure of my choices. You are not alone in that.

I didn't realize what a hoarder you are. lol What a happy crafter you must be, as well as blessed to get such awesome collections.

If you ever get overwhelmed with all the supplies you could sell them or donate what you know you won't use. Win for you and the receiver, too.

Since I packed up almost a year ago, every so often I look at some drawer or box and find nice things I forgot about. That's a good/weird feeling.

I hope I live long enough to use up what I have left. I donated a bunch when packing up last year.

I guess it's a good problem to have, overabundance of nice things!

Linda, I sometimes have that clearance problem, too. The only thing that stops me from cart overload is that some of the stores now won't take returns on clearance items- so I think it through before actually buying them. Still, I have lots of items from across the board, how will I ever use them all? hahaha

I have that color problem when I look at the bead choices. Maybe that's why I have so many, trying to make the perfect match.

Your Mad Hatter blog was gorgeous, wish I could have been there in person.
