Watch Out for the Upturned Apple Cart

This aceo has changed over time, a few different layers and color changes, too.  I've put different bits of papers, ribbons, and string on, only to change it out time and again.  Do you get like that- revising until your work no longer looks recognizable?

I think the issue is I lost sight of what the original intention/feeling was that I was hoping to convey.  It must be the chaos, it really does upset my apple cart.

Now it looks as if the dream is peeled away in layers, rumpled and aging, bedding, bandages and pieces of time attempting to stall the revelations.  Even with this chaos the colors are light with flecks of sparkle and someone's life's blood peeking through.

Do you work better in messy and chaotic places?  Can it be too quiet to concentrate?

Well, I don't know what this aceo looked like in the beginning, but I love the way it looks like now! I think the colors are so soft and pretty and I love the heart in the corner! My art place has to be pretty clean, even though to some people it might look chaotic! LOL! And, I can work with noise and without noise, doesn't bother me! My mind, is concentrating on painting ;o) Hugs ;o)

You are entirely poetic today. I love how this looks but will need to google 'aceo', lol. I have attempted a very beginner piece today myself that resembles the texture in this piece. I so hope that one day I will be able to create something as beautiful as this piece of yours.

Oh I absolutely revise, and revise. I suppose in my case it is cutting the wire and pulling out the thread ... but yes! or I add too many layers and realize it was better about 3 versions earlier. There was much clipping on my bead table tonight. Perhaps I'll have a few earrings to show in a day or so ... pearls are coming! :)

Thanks, Stacy! I know you concentrate, you are so prolific! Only certain noises bother me- like the lawn mowers that go on for hours...

Poetic due to lack of sleep (?) thanks so much Terry! Remember the itch, I look forward to seeing the piece, too.

Cynthia, in the end those creations are gorgeous, so it's worth all that clipping! I wonder if the beads just make you want to keep moving them around? Pearls, yes please!
