We Could Use Your Positive Thoughts ♥

If you're squeamish look away, but we could use your positive thoughts about this:
(Click on the image to enlarge.)

Last Friday afternoon (May 18) Lucy was at my side, as she usually is and as I was stroking her freshly washed back, I felt a lump.

Fast forward to Monday (May 21) at noon. The vet thought it might be just a fatty lump, or impacted hair follicles and did a small incision to attempt to remove the infection he couldn't see.

On the outside there was no inflammation, seeping, anything like that.  After opening her lump he decided it was better for her if he removed it and had it tested.

She came back home walking like a drunk lifting her paws and walking crossways, and with a drugged out tired look, but her tail was wagging so that was a great sign.

I would love your positive thoughts as I wait for the test results.  My previous sweetie, my beagle and his illness came flooding in and I know they are not the same at all, but when we are faced with the vulnerabilities of both our pets and ourselves, it makes everything more tender, precious, brief, and sweet.  ♥♥♥
Thank you!

EDITED TO ADD:  Late on Thursday I got the good news that Lucy's lump was a benign tumor.  I am thankful and relieved as you can imagine.  THANK YOU for your kind words and positive vibes and wishes, it means a lot!  If you were here, Lucy would thank you too, by giving you the pleasure of petting her.  She's always happy to meet and greet with a little lick and a nuzzle.♥♥ ♥

Sending many positive thought your way. My Yorkshire terrier, Lizzie is 15 now and has had a rather large lump on her chest area for about 7 years now and it has never given her any problems. To look at it would probably freak most people out. All being well your lovely pet will be perfectly fine have no other problems. Thinking of you all x Sue x

Good to act fast and have it tested. Hope Lucy is feeling better after her surgery ... we went through this with our dog and coming out of the anesthesia was a bit tough on her. Good thoughts going out to Lucy!

Gloria, you definitely have my positive thoughts heading your way. You know I'm a big doggie lover, of course, and just pray that Lucy's lump is nothing more than some fatty cyst. Big hugs to you in the meantime.

Dearest Gloria,

Thank goodness that Lucy will be fine. Our eldest cat, Barty (8) has a lump in his neck that we need to see the vet about soon as it has enlarged. My Dachshund had a lump on her back that got removed and she lived to be 12.5 years of age. We all hope and pray that they stay with us for a while and we with them...
Love to you,

Hello Mariette! I hope you get good news for Barty ♥ We want to keep our pets forever, but that day comes and it's so difficult. I'm keeping a good thought for Barty. Thanks so much ♥
