Inspiration and Freedom Mixed Media

Celebrating the theme of, "inspiration" the blog party at Inspiration Avenue asks us, "What inspires?"  To answer this completely literally, here is my entry for the week, if you want to see it larger, click on it:

There are parents, friends, wishes, and memories.  Peace, love, faith, home, and pets, add to the joy.  Time is a pressure, it's limited and elusive.  Yes, health and a combo of issues (diseases) are now intrinsic to the picture; they make time demands and deplete my storehouse.  These are some things which inspire AND motivate me.

I'm late to arrive at the place where freedom in self takes a stand.  I may never move in.  I want to, "Thank You" for the welcome I received from the kind and generous people from Inspiration Avenue.  Your comments and the comments from other gracious readers have made this a brighter place.   Thank you for sharing yourselves with me and others!

I think arriving at freedom in self is a journey without end or destination. This piece of yours has such a visual and emotional impact! it speaks from the heart.

I agree with commenter #1, all self actualization is a journey, not a destination. If we had it all figured out, we'd be God or a super hero.

Nice post!

Well done! There is so much to look at and think about in this piece. That's inspiring in itself.

So much thought and heart has gone into this which makes it something quite special xx

Thanks Darla, and Tracey I appreciate your comments!

Thanks P, but I am saying freedom in self, choices, movements, things like that. Not self actualization, not super powers or separation from God. The end of the journey connects you with God. I hope to put that meeting off for a while, but that's not in my control. Will have to take it day by day and learn to live with whatever develops.

I've enjoyed seeing your challenge entries for the past several weeks and always look forward to your latest entry. It's so heartwarming to see all the art that surrounds you and touches you. I see so much in your art and so many memories both past and present. Lovely entry this week.

Thank you, Elizabeth it's only been a short time and I've made more art in that time than ever in the past. It's down to people such as yourself who directly and indirectly remind me to try and who see things in the pieces that I see and more. I've used the themes to explore and spark. Thanks again I'm very happy to have met through IA!

I am forever on the cusp of self discovery...every new layer reveals little more than more of myself that is unexplored. I love your very personal artwork. The honesty and self probing are what makes for the best work. Shine on!
